Perfect Acts of Architecture

The book Perfect Acts of Architecture describes the exhibition that took place at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio. Jeffery Kipnis, the curator at Wexner Center for the Arts argues that "when it comes to exhibitions... installation is not everything, it is the only thing." Kipnis described the installation team working "as an organism, each member maing invaluable, creative contributions to the whole." The exhibition featured the works of Rem Koolhaas + Elia Zenghelis, Peter Eisenman, Bernard Tschumi, Daniel Libeskind, and Thom Mayne, all world famous architects currently practicing architecture. These young talented architects moved into the academic environment in the 1970's because of a sluggish economy. From there, they explored different drawing experimentations as a main way to research the similarities of architecture, philosophy, film, and contemporary culture.
